For our honeymoon! I am so unbelievably excited! I have always wanted to go there and despite trekking all over Europe three times, it was never in the cards until now. Originally we had planned on going to Maui, which would have been beautiful, but Greece just seems so much more exotic. I love that we are going someplace that neither of us has ever been, so it will be a new experience for both (Tory has been to Maui before, and I haven’t). Tory’s parents are part of a timeshare system and are graciously allowing us to use their accumulated points for this trip! I am so, so thankful! It turns out that the Greece trip was not that much more expensive than Hawaii, otherwise it wouldn’t have been possible. We are staying near the town of Rethymnon on the island of Crete at the Leoniki Residence. We will be there for 11 days (two of those will be for travel). I’m hoping we can do at least one island hop to Santorini, and we’ll have one full day to check out Athens. Can’t wait!
My soon-to-be cousin, Marisa was married to her beau of seven years, JP, this past Sunday at the Martinelli Center in Livermore. And what a beautiful wedding it was! Every little detail was perfect, from the ribbons on the pergola fluttering in the breeze, to the complimentary flip flops on the dance floor…they thought of everything! Unfortunately, we didn’t get many photos…we were much too busy having fun! Here are a few that Tory managed to capture.

We’re doing our engagement shoot on May 31st with a friend of mine from Sac State, Andrew Nixon. He and I worked at the school paper, The State Hornet together. My fascinator came! Yay! Of course I couldn’t resist trying it on and it is soooo perfect and beautiful, I love it!

I haven’t quite figured out how to wear my birdcage veil with the fascinator yet. I’m going to leave that to the pros. And by pros, I mean Elli.
Yesterday was Tory’s Second Cousin, Kelly’s wedding. It was outdoors – in a park at Lafayette Reservoir. It was a casual affair – the invites said to ‘bring your favorite lawn chair and wear comfortable shoes.’ We had a blast!

Kelly has had the pattern for this Ralph Lauren dress since high school, and her two best friends made it for her – isn’t that awesome?!
I love that her two kids escorted her down the ‘aisle.’ So sweet.
