random musings and things that tickle my fancy

Here’s a fun little project I did to decorate my lovely shoes – I put my future initials in rhinestones on the soles! Now I know that not many people are going to see this, but that’s OK by me. I know they’re there!

Here’s how I did it:

  1. I found my initials in fonts that I liked and printed them out to scale. I used two different fonts for the E & P, and I sadly don’t remember what either of them were, LOL.
  2. Taped the printouts in place on the soles.
  3. Used a push pin and poked through the paper, tracing the letter.
  4. Painstakingly glued the rhinestones on one-by-one using some heavy duty craft glue that I got at Michaels. I used toothpicks to apply the glue and an old pair of tweezers to put the stones in place.

Here’s the result:

shoe 3 DIY Shoe Rhinestones

And a couple of my shoes, cuz I love them oh-so-much!

Who designed these peacock blue shoes??? They are so gorgeous. They may be the ones my sister-in-law just wore for her August wedding and I keep forgetting to ask her about them.

The shoes are by Seychelles. I adore them but I must say, they are NOT comfortable! Don’t you just love the heel, though!?

Sigh, I so want to find shoes in this color — it’s not as easy as you make it look! :) Can’t seem to find anything on Seychelles’ website either.

Let the search continue…!
