random musings and things that tickle my fancy

I’ve been working on our invitation suite for the last week or so, and before I give you a sneak peek, here’s a look at my inspiration:

I dig the vintage label look of Good Old Days by Chewing the Cud

I LOVE the typography on this Response Card: Tuileries by Bella Figura:

And last, but not least, Paisley by Alum. My invites will probably end up having some form of paisley motif because A. I LOVE paisley!, and B. Tory is wearing this rockin’ paisley tie!

Stay tuned to see how I meshed all of my inspiration together!

My soon-to-be cousin, Marisa was married to her beau of seven years, JP, this past Sunday at the Martinelli Center in Livermore. And what a beautiful wedding it was! Every little detail was perfect, from the ribbons on the pergola fluttering in the breeze, to the complimentary flip flops on the dance floor…they thought of everything! Unfortunately, we didn’t get many photos…we were much too busy having fun! Here are a few that Tory managed to capture.

The bride was stunning. Her dress was so gorgeous…I love lace! And blue shoes!

I wanted to share the Save the Dates I made, inspired by Martha Stewart. Thanks, Martha. I thought that this was a unique idea and also fit into the Barnyard Chic theme. Apparently I also wanted to punish myself, because I spent hours designing, printing, cutting, assembling and addressing these suckers! I even let Tory help :) I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out, though. The only thing I didn’t do was cut out all those numbers. Those I purchased here.

Here’s how they turned out:

Here’s what they said:
“Tory bought the ring
Erica said yes
There’s going to be a wedding
We hope you’ll be our guest”
